1) Full Spectrum bare sensor modification:
After the conversion, your camera will be suitable for Astrophotography, Infrared, Ultraviolet, and Daylight photography (assuming the correct filter is used). This is the most flexible type of modification as the camera retains maximum sensitivity in all the above light wavelengths.

Autofocus with any lens is guaranteed after conversion as the camera sensor is recalibrated.
This is a Bare Sensor Modification, meaning that nothing is placed in front of the sensor.
Note that the auto dust cleaning mechanism will not be available after the conversion as both the low pass filter and the piezoelectric element are removed. Extra filter(s) are required with this type of modification depending on what you want to shoot (daylight, UV, IR, astro).
2) Astrophotography modification:
After the conversion, your camera will be suitable for Astrophotography (and Daylight photography with an extra filter).
Autofocus with any lens is guaranteed after conversion as the camera sensor is recalibrated.
Only the colour filter (Lpf2) is removed. UV/IR cut filter (Lpf1 – piezoelectric filter) is retained so the auto dust cleaning mechanism will be available after the conversion. It can be used for RGB astrophotography without any extra filters. An extra filter can be used depending on specific shooting conditions and/or applications (e.g. H-Alpha and/or light pollution filters).
