How it works:

1) Please send me a message if your camera is not listed.

2) You buy the service.

3) Send me a message specifying your camera and preferred conversion type.

4) I’m sending you the contact info to send the camera. You can even buy yourself the camera from a store of your choice and send it directly to me to avoid delays.

5) Include a memory card and a battery. I will add sample photos after the conversion. There’s no need to include a lens.

6) I convert the camera. It will take a couple of days.

7) I’m sending you the camera via Royal Mail 1st class signed for, nicely and securely packed.

8) Go out and capture many wonderful photos!

Conversion options explained:

1) Full-spectrum modification

After the conversion, your camera will be suitable for Astrophotography, Infrared, Ultraviolet, and Daylight photography (assuming the correct filter is used). This is the most flexible type of modification as the camera retains maximum sensitivity in all the above light wavelengths. Explore a whole new world of creativity, capturing nebulae in vivid colour and dream-like IR photos. Reveal what’s beyond the visible, mastering UV photography and at the same time continue capturing ‘normal’ visible-light photos.

Full Spectrum modification options depending on camera:

• Option 1: Bare Sensor Modification. Nothing is placed in front of the sensor.
• Option 2: Clear Glass Modification. Internal filters replaced with high quality JGS1 Fused Silica Quartz Glass.

Note that the auto dust cleaning mechanism will not be available after the conversion as both the low pass filter and the piezoelectric element are removed. Extra filter(s) required with this type of modification depending on what you want to shoot (daylight, UV, IR, astro).

2) Astrophotography modification.

After the conversion, your camera will be suitable for Astrophotography (and Daylight photography in Manual mode or with an extra filter). Astrophotography modification (and Full Spectrum) makes the camera more sensitive to H-alpha light (red nebulae colour). In Canon crop cameras, only the colour filter (Lpf2) is removed. UV/IR cut filter (Lpf1 – piezoelectric filter) is retained, so the auto dust cleaning function will be available after the conversion. In some cameras, Lpf1 and Lpf2 are fused. In this case, a high-quality UV/IR cut filter is used, and the dust cleaning function is not retained. UV/IR cut filter transmission range: 400nm – 700nm. The camera can be used for RGB astrophotography without any extra filters. An additional filter can be used depending on specific shooting conditions and/or applications (e.g. light pollution filters or narrowband).

3) Infrared modification.

After the conversion, your camera will be suitable for IR photography. Both Lpf1 and Lpf2 filters removed and replaced with a high quality IR filter. IR options:

• IR filter 850nm. High-contrast, pure black-and-white photography.
• IR filter 720nm. The standard IR filter. Capturing infrared light with a small amount of visible light. An excellent choice for monochromatic photography
• IR filter 650nm. This filter produces vibrant false colours maintaining good contrast. Fantastic for surreal landscapes.
• IR filter 590nm. The most colourful of all options! Surreal and vibrant landscapes.

Note that the auto dust cleaning mechanism will not be available after the conversion as both the low pass filter and the piezoelectric element are removed.

In all conversions, auto focus with any lens is guaranteed as the camera sensor is recalibrated.

Also included, a shot in a blank background as proof that the sensor is dust-free.
